“ If someone breaks your heart, just punch them in the face.
Oh sure, it seems obvious now,
but you’d be amazed at how many people don’t think of it when it’s relevant.
Seriously, just punch them in the face and go get some ice cream.

In preparation for my annual Top 10 Albums of the Year post, I give you my favorite song lyrically of the year by The Divine Comedy from the album Bang Goes the Knighthood. It’s cheesy, corny, romantic, beautiful, ironic, lovely, thought provoking, etc. Enjoy.
Pomplamoose is in a new Hyundai commercial singing Christmas songs! I’m so happy to see them out there where people can see how awesome they are. This cover is my favorite they do. It’s one of my favorite covers of all time. Speaking of which, I plan on getting back into Top 10 lists and doing a Top 10 Covers of All Time list. So, look out for that!
This is me promising to get back into tumblr. I stopped because I didn’t think people were really into it. I was SUPER wrong. I gotta make this the best blog thing ever. Right now, it’s alphabeta-cool. In other words: it’s not cool. It’s going to be cool. I pity the fool who won’t think it’s cool. I saw an infomercial with Mr. T. I thought I’d reference him with the ‘pity the fool’ thing. Here is the product he’s selling:

I’m so glad to be back into photography. I’ve missed it after this long winter slumber. Please bug me to continue with it. Here is part of my roommate Joe’s bike. I love bikes. I’d love to ride mine today, but it’s in Muncie, and alas, I’m in Anderson. I’ll show you pictures of my bike later. Getting ready to play a “private house show”(it’s really an open house for some kid) with the THETAS ( http://www.myspace.com/thethetas ). I’m pretty excited for it! Afterwards, heading up to the lake house. Ready to get out on the water and do stuff and have fun, take some photos up there? Hopefully! Oh, and also bug me about finishing my blog entry on the Beatles’ White Album… You might find it interesting. I hope!
Cheers!

I haven’t taken a real photo in such a long time. Is it because I’m stuck in the library? No. I took this last semester. I am just lazy. Creatively drained. I see beauty every day, but I choose not to capture it.
I need some motivation in my life.
I am the only one that thinks I’m going crazy, and I don’t know what to do.

I want that guitar. I want that man…I mean, I’m not gay, but you know…
Isn’t it funny how the title is Manchester Orchestra, but instead, I chose to put a Ryan Adams picture up? I really must be going crazy. Help me Andy! Help me Ryan!

Stuck for 53 Minutes
Don’t you hate when you’re so close to something, but you have to do one insignificant worthless task before achieving it? That sounds so dramatic! Anyways, all I’m really saying is spring break is here, and I’m stuck at work for 53 minutes. I’m not doing anything. I don’t have anybody to tutor, today. I don’t have any tests to proctor or deliver. For all who didn’t know, I’m a tutor and test proctor/deliverer. It’s a great job, but I’m wicked ready to just get on break.
So, fun. was awesome! Alex and I met Andrew Dost. Very cool dude. We also met their drummer and Michael, their bassist. He was so cool. I wish we could have met Nate. That would have just been too many insanes.
Now, it’s spring break. I don’t really have any big plans this year. I haven’t since senior year, but you know how it goes. I’m really excited to just go home and be home. I love being home(see a previous entry on simplicity). I get good food. I sure miss good food. A week from today, I’m going to Chicago to see MUSE!

I’ve seen these Brits my sophomore year in high school, and they are easily one of the most energetic live shows I’ve ever seen. Simply brilliant. I’m also pretty excited to go to Chicago in general. I haven’t been there since 5th grade. That is quite lame, I know. It’s a pretty city, I’m excited to just walk around a little. Finally, the last day of break be my birthday! I turn 21 on a Sunday. I don’t feel 21. It’s weird. I’m pretty excited, nevertheless!
A couple things I want to do at home on spring break.
1. Ride my bike.
2. Take some more photos.
3. Eat a lot of food.
Welp, by writing this blog, I’ve passed by the time to the point where I can go home and start my spring break. Y’all doing anything fun? Hope so! Be safe kids.
Fun. and fun itself.
So, I’m a little bit excited. Now, everyone knows i’m just full of twenty-something angst(much worse than that wimpy teenage angst). Not really, but being “angsty” seems to be much more glorified than being a little melancholy every so often. Anyways, I’m not melancholy at all at the moment. Now, if you know me, even just a little bit, you know that I have mad respect for this bro, Nate Reuss. He was in this band called The Format, and now, he is in this band called Fun.

They’re kind of a mini super-band if you will. I mean, granted no one in the band were huge commercial successes, but each member was part of something that received a lot of critical acclaim, and yes, I love all of their original projects. Nate: The Format. Jack: Steel Train. Andrew: Anathallo. Together: Brilliant pop music.
So, what’s all the hubub? Why all the excitement? I’m seeing them live tomorrow! I’m going to meet one of my heroes, Nate Reuss. It’s going to be great. Oh yeah, MUSE in March right before my B-Day. More on that later.
That’s my excitement. My short term excitement(as if tomorrow wasn’t short term) happens to be IHOP’s free pancake day. You guys goin’? Lot’s of people have, and I want them. Wonder if anyone would go with me… I mean, who would turn down a free stack of these golden babies?

That’s all. I’ll let you know how great my day will be sometime after tomorrow.
Cheers!
